Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the owlloom.buzz website and any related pages, forms, and course access features (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
If you do not agree, do not use the Site. If you are using the Site on behalf of a business or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Minimum age: the Site is intended for users who are at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you should use the Site only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.
2. Educational and Safety Disclaimer
owlloom.buzz provides educational content related to industrial custom sewing, including protective covers, upholstery, technical textiles, and sportswear. The Site is designed to teach methods and workflows such as seam planning, reinforcement placement, pattern transfer, cutting discipline, edge finishing, and inspection routines. It is not a licensing, certification, or competency assessment program.
Industrial sewing equipment can be hazardous if used improperly. Course materials are general education and cannot replace manufacturer instructions, on-site safety training, or workplace policies. Always follow your machine manufacturer’s safety guidance, use guards where applicable, maintain safe hand positioning, and test settings and materials on scrap before producing finished goods.
Results vary based on factors such as practice time, machine condition, needle system, thread size, stitch length, tension balance, presser foot pressure, and the behavior of specific materials (including coated fabrics, foam-backed panels, webbing, and stretch knits). You are responsible for your own decisions and outcomes when applying what you learn.
3. Description of the Site and Changes
The Site presents course information and may allow you to register by submitting details through an on-site form. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, including course descriptions, lesson structure, and platform features. We do not guarantee that any specific module, topic, or feature will remain available indefinitely.
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” Downtime can happen for maintenance, infrastructure issues, or security reasons. We aim to keep the Site reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted access.
4. Registration and Information You Provide
If you register through the Site, you agree to provide accurate, current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials you create and for activities that occur under your registration. Do not share access details with others.
You agree not to submit information that is misleading or that infringes the rights of others. You also agree not to attempt to register using email addresses you do not control. If we detect suspicious activity, we may restrict access or block submissions to protect the platform and users.
5. Acceptable Use
You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Attempt to access non-public areas of the Site, bypass security controls, or probe for vulnerabilities.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site using automated means without our prior written permission.
- Interfere with the Site’s operation, including by introducing malware, attempting denial-of-service attacks, or abusing form endpoints.
- Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
- Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise harmful.
- Use the Site in a way that violates export controls or sanctions laws applicable to you.
We may monitor traffic and submissions for security purposes. We may restrict access, rate-limit, or block requests that appear abusive or automated.
6. Intellectual Property
The Site and its content, including text, course outlines, lesson descriptions, graphics, design elements, and code, are owned by Minox Czech Ltd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. The owlloom.buzz name and related brand elements are protected identifiers.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the Site for personal and internal business learning purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display Site content without our prior written permission, except where such use is permitted by applicable law.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site may reference or link to third-party services. Any third-party website or service is controlled by its own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted, or that any content is complete, current, or suitable for your specific machines, materials, or production requirements. Industrial sewing outcomes depend on setup and material behavior; instructions that work in one workshop may require adjustment in another.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Minox Czech Ltd and its affiliates, directors, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Site in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Minox Czech Ltd and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site, (b) information you submit through the Site, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity.
11. Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, war, terrorism, labor disputes, power failures, internet or hosting outages, and cyberattacks.
12. International Use
We make no representation that the Site is appropriate or legally available for use in all locations. You are responsible for compliance with local laws that apply to your access to and use of the Site.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Czech Republic.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if we need to protect the security and integrity of the Site. Termination does not limit any rights or remedies available to us.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Minox Czech Ltd regarding your use of the Site and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements on the same subject.
17. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction.
18. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Minox Czech Ltd.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes become effective fourteen (14) days after they are posted on this page, unless a change is required by law or is needed for security reasons, in which case it may take effect immediately. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
